Melissa Greenwald, MD
Medical Director-Las Vegas
Dr. Greenwald is a board-certified Internist who has specialized in transplant medicine for over 25 years. She is an internationally recognized expert in donor screening and testing policy. Dr. Greenwald reviewed donor screening assays for organ and tissue donors at the FDA for 12 years and has served as the Chief of the Human Tissues Branch, OCTGT/CBER/FDA. She was on the clinical staff of Walter Reed Army Medical Center until its closure in 2010. Dr. Greenwald was the director of the Division of Transplantation at the Health Resources and Services Administration. She graduated from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in 1997.
Daniel Schultz, MD
Medical Director-Tampa
Dr. Schultz is a board-certified anatomic, clinical, and forensic pathologist. He has been a full-time forensic pathologist as well as the tissue bank Medical Director and Vice President at LifeLink Foundation in Tampa, Florida and with LifeNet Health in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Dr. Schultz was the former Chairman of the Board for the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB). He has been an active instructor in medical school curricula, within the AATB, at the Association for Organ Procurement Organizations (AOPO), as well as in pathology residency and forensic pathology fellowship training programs.
Dr. Kathryn McIver, MBA
Chief Operations Officer
Dr. McIver has over 9 years of executive leadership and experience in operations. She has extensive expertise and knowledge in Lean Six Sigma program strategy, management, and implementation. Dr. McIver has led various teams, developed and implemented KPI’s, and managed operations under Kaizen and Hoshin planning methodologies. She received her Doctor of Business Administration from the University of Maryland and her Master’s in Business Administration from Syracuse University. Dr. McIver is a lecturer at the University of Colorado.
Andreina Jaimes, MBA
Chief Financial Officer
Andreina Jaimes has more than 15 years of experience in financial reporting, forecasting, profitability P&L accountability, and internal controls for public companies. She has worked in finance and accounting for organizations such as Coca-Cola Femsa, Sodexho Pass, and Deloitte Venezuela. Andreina holds a Bachelor’s in Accounting from Catholic University Andres Bello and a Master’s in Business Administration from Metropolitan University in Venezuela.
Dr. David Cardamone
Laboratory Director
Dr. Cardamone has over 26 years of clinical laboratory experience. He has vast knowledge and expertise in chemistry, immunoassay’s, molecular, toxicology, and general lab operations. Dr. Cardamone helped manage the clinical trials of a DeNova test assay for Premarket Notification of 510K approval. He also spent 4 years as Army Infantry during the Desert Storm invasion. Dr. Cardamone received his Ph.D. in Health Sciences from The University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey and is certified through the American Society of Clinical Pathologist and American Board of Clinical Chemistry.
Bill Harden
Operations Manager
Bill has over 30 years of clinical laboratory experience and operations. He has in-depth knowledge and expertise in the application and functionality of LIMS operating systems within the laboratory space. Bill spent ten years in the military at some of the largest and most visible controlled testing facilities in the world. He received his AS in Medical Laboratory Technology from Mount Aloysius College and an AA in Pre-Nursing from Wentworth Military Academy. Bill is certified as an MLT by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.
Karen Featherston, MBA, MLS(ASCP)cm
Quality Manager
Karen has over 35 years of clinical laboratory experience and operations. She spent 20 years in the Air Force at some of the largest military laboratories in the world, including the DoD Bone Marrow Donor program. Her prior roles have been in health systems that include blood banking, chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and transfusion medicine. Karen received her MBA from Wayland Baptist University and is certified as an MLS through the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.
